The Public Relations Manager will act as an integral part of Pfeiffer Consulting events. This person will work closely with film studios and PR agencies to coordinate press attendance, secure event coverage, and track social media posts for various types of events ranging from film premieres, special screenings, private dinners, and awards-season lunches.
KEY PUBLIC RELATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes but is not limited to
Coordinating with Pfeiffer Consulting team, studios, and PR agencies on event-specific media and press outreach
Working closely with other Pfeiffer Consulting team members to coordinate press needs for events and confirm red carpet logistics
Drafting media alerts, pitches, and post event press releases
Communicating press interest for each event clearly to clients
Producing press materials for events when necessary including media alerts, facesheets, and press spots
Booking in-house photographers and video crews when necessary for events
Attend all company hired events
Managing all aspects of red carpet arrivals including confirming press attendance, film talent arrivals, and Pfeiffer Consulting guests arrivals
Tracking and producing reports for event press coverage
Press and industry networking to maintain strong relationships
Pitching and coordinating social media coverage on red carpet events
Tracking and producing reports for social media coverage and Pfeiffer Consulting invited guests social posts
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years' experience in communications and media relations
General understanding and interest in the film industry
Effective management with strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Must be highly self-motivated, solution-oriented, and work well in a fast-paced environment while under pressure
Ability to maintain and manage multiple events at a time
Excellent verbal, written, and follow-up skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Docs
Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
Must be available to work long hours including nights and weekends
Note that this is a remote position, but must be located in New York City and willing to travel locally when necessary.
