We're Hiring: Event Manager: Damminger Productions Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
Project & Client Management
• Serve as the primary client liaison throughout the entire event lifecycle, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional service.
• Translate client objectives and design concepts into a detailed, actionable production plan.
• Develop and manage comprehensive event budgets, tracking all expenses, negotiating vendor rates, and ensuring payments are made on time.
• Create and maintain detailed project timelines, production/ROS schedules and floor plans (CAD experience a plus).
Production & Design Execution
• Source, vet, and manage all external vendors including catering, floral/décor, staging, lighting, audiovisual (A/V), and rentals, ensuring they align with the design vision.
• Collaborate closely with the in-house Creative/Design team to ensure that all production and logistical elements support the aesthetic vision.
• Manage all necessary permits, insurance requirements, and adherence to safety regulations and union guidelines (if applicable).
On-Site Operations
• Lead and manage the on-site production team (internal staff, freelancers, and vendors) during load-in, event execution, and strike/load-out.
• Act as the main point of contact for the venue and all on-site personnel.
• Proactively anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve any real-time issues or emergencies with a calm, solution-oriented approach.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional experience in event production, event management, or experiential marketing, preferably within a design-focused agency or in the Los Angeles market.
• Proven expertise in budget management, vendor negotiation, and contract processing.
• Strong technical understanding of live event elements, including A/V, lighting, power, and staging.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or Google Workspace.
Additional Skills & Experience
• Experience managing events in high-profile Los Angeles venues.
• Proficiency in CAD/floor planning software
• A portfolio demonstrating experience with design-intensive, high-end, or large-scale corporate/private events.
