Summer Intern - Basketball Operations

Basketball Operations Intern
The Dallas Wings are seeking a Basketball Operations Intern. The Basketball Operations Intern will have the opportunity to observe and practice assisting in day-to-day tasks with practices, gear and equipment, and game day procedures.

Areas you will be learning about:
• Inventory and equipment management
• Game day logistics
• Industry and team principles, expectations, and standards
• Arena operations and communications

Learning Opportunities:
• Work closely with the Basketball Operations Department/ Support staff to execute the logistical aspects of our program
• Observe and practice understanding equipment needs, standards, and maintenance
• Observe and assist with the process of laundry and distribution of gear
• Observe and practice organizing team communications
• Observe and practice how to produce great work results through organization, integrity, effective communication and proactive problem solving
• Assisting with game day operations, including setup, breakdown, and providing logistical support to players and staff

Preferred Experience
• Student Manager for a collegiate team or Sports Management experience
• Student Athlete

Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to work non-traditional and long hours including evening and weekends
• Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited university; in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
