The Dallas Mavericks is currently seeking an Operations Manager to support front office operations.
A successful applicant will demonstrate strong operational and project management skills along with initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to work creatively and proactively while collaborating in a team environment. We are looking for someone prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment but driven to take the initiative to succeed when presented with individual work responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pro-actively performs a wide-range of complex administrative duties
• Coordination of leadership scheduling
• Prioritization of the flow of information such as screening calls, preparing correspondence and reports
• Project coordination and follow-up
• Preparing agendas and all related material and leadership event planning.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned by leadership team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinating the schedules of leadership team, prioritizing functions and appointments, ensuring that meetings, deadlines, presentations and other duties are carried out seamlessly and on schedule
• Gatekeeping and serving as the liaison between the CEO, leadership and staff as well as external contacts in a professional and friendly manner; managing phone calls, emails and correspondence
• Conserving CEO's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting internal and external emails, letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information
• Maintaining organized filing system of paper and electronic documents as well as office supply inventory
• Maintaining an efficient flow of information between all levels (including internal and external contacts) on a wide spectrum of projects and priorities
• Maintaining and tracking project lists/goals; attending team and high-level meetings, tracking agenda, taking accurate minutes, and assisting leadership team to keep team on course
• Maintaining leadership tream's confidence and protecting organization by keeping information confidential
Qualifications:
This position involves an extremely high degree of confidentiality.
Seven years of experience in the performance of responsible senior managerial work.
College degree preferred.
Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, time management, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities
• Strong project management, tracking, reporting and problem-solving skills
• Experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to professionally interact with individuals at all levels, particularly senior levels both within and outside of the company
• Action oriented and flexible with proven ability to adapt to many scenarios and prioritize accordingly
• Detail oriented with track record of performing duties with accuracy and speed without immediate supervision.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented, self-motivated team environment while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
• High level of integrity and ability to keep information confidential
