Development Executive

The Daily Wire seeks a Development Executive to head up script and project development for DW+ features and series! This is an in-office opportunity based in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee. Ideal candidates have a mastery of screenplay analysis; extensive knowledge of writers, directors, and talent; and strong relationships with agents, managers, and creatives within the entertainment industry. Responsibilities:

Manage and review incoming submissions, scripts, material, and pitches
Find and develop projects and scout for new talent for development
Seek out intellectual property or source material that can be turned into movies, series, or other projects
Generate original ideas and arenas for development
Pitch projects to internal executives
Support Executive leadership in the day-to-day development of the Company's slate of entertainment projects
Give concise development notes on material optioned by the company
Manage creative decisions regarding development, aligning with the company's creative focus and strategy
Partner with the Producers and Production Executives of assigned projects through each stage of development and production
Provide support to Executives on projects in all stages including prep, production, and post-production
Search out, meet with, and develop relationships with new talent
Work with talent (writers/directors/producers) to develop projects
Assist in the development and analysis of Kids content, animation, and possible completed features for acquisition as needed
Work closely with Bonfire Legend, the production company run by Dallas Sonnier
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

Nashville, TN -based position (working remotely is not an option)
5+ years previous professional experience in a similar role in the entertainment industry
Mastery of screenplay analysis
Extensive knowledge of writers, director, and talent
Strong relationships with agents, managers, and creatives within the entertainment industry
Demonstrated experience providing clear and constructive notes (written and verbal)
Strong knowledge of film and television (past and present)
Strong knowledge of story structure
Avid reader
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Highly self-motivated and self-starting
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced and high-energy work environment
G-suite proficiency
