Production Assistant

PRODUCTION COMPANY SEEKING
PAID PART-TIME PRODUCTION ASSISTANT WITH INTEREST IN CLASSICAL MUSIC

Cultural Media Collaborative, an award-winning Manhattan based production company known for documentaries and performance films on classical music and other cultural topics, is seeking a part-time production assistant.

Responsibilities:
• Assistance as required during film shoots, including with camera, lighting, sound equipment
• Segment editing on Premiere Pro
• Create transcripts from videotaped interviews using Premiere
• Photo, film and document archival research
• Scheduling, logistical and administrative duties

Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience of video and digital cinema production
techniques to, among other things, assist the director of photography
• Advanced skills with Adobe Premiere
• Audio recording skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Rock-solid reliability and integrity
• Commitment to excellence

This part-time position is for a thoughtful, academically trained, independent contractor with a flexible schedule and appreciation of classical music. Ability to read music a plus but not required. This position offers the possibility for rapid growth.

Salary: Day rate commensurate with experience.
