Search for Sound Engineer - Shipboard jobs in Miami-FL
Crystal Cruises is looking for skilled Sound Engineers to work in our show lounges and entertainment venues onboard our luxurious cruise ships.
Responsibilities:
Operate sound desk and audio system for live shows, presentations, and events in the main showroom, secondary show room, and entertainment venues around the ship.
Run rehearsals and sound checks as required for shows and presentations.
Set and mic live band set ups for live shows.
Assist with stage setups/strikes.
Maintenance of audio systems, outboard gear, mics, cables, etc
Operation of show control system in the main room.
Lecture/Presentation set up and operation in main show room and assist as required with presentations in other venues around the ship.
Entertainment venues will house a variety of shows, lectures, events and activities throughout each cruise and will require tech support accordingly.
Requirements:
3 years experience running sound for live theatrical shows and live events.
Knowledge and experience with wired and wireless mic systems.
Knowledge of miking techniques for for vocal and live bands.
Knowledge with audio processing systems.
Knowledge and experience with DAW's: Qlab and Protools
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, PP, and Keynote.
Contract length: 4-6 months
*Shipboard employees require STCW training prior to joining the ship.
