Search for Publicist jobs in Nashville-TN
The publicist will be responsible for leading and managing publicity campaigns for Crowd Surf clients. They will work hand in hand with media outlets and influencers to help build client narratives surrounding album / EP releases, music video launches, press days etc.
Applicant will be required to send over a document or folder of clippings showing pieces they have gotten placed, as well as their desired salary range or they will not be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
+ Create pertinent documents (press release, pitches, talking points), presentations and reports to help outline our actions for clients.
+ Have a deep understanding of client goals and work with them on an on-going basis to field ideas and provide feedback.
+ Book and oversee media appearances and interviews for clients
+ Proactively pitch and secure coverage for clients
+ Oversee support from client-side of all published content.
+ Supply clients with comprehensive recaps on a regular basis.
+ Build and maintain relationships with media outlets including online outlets, national/regional TV, regional outlets, influencers, print, YouTube shows etc.
+ Submit clients for award shows and red carpet events. Will be expected to attend events with clients.
+ Handle talent-related issues with respect to the press
+ Any other various tasks that help our publicity team excel and thrive.
Qualifications:
+ 2 plus yrs experience in the music industry field in a marketing or publicity position.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Existing relationships with major press outlets.
+ Must provide at least one writing sample.
+ Must be very attentive to detail.
+ Team player, Energetic, Flexible, Resourceful
+ Ability to use Apple products.
+ Understand that this isn't a 9-5 job. Sometimes you have to work for a couple of hours on the weekend, attend a show, or answer an email before you go to bed.
+ Have initiative. We want somebody who is going to take this job, and then take it to the next level. We don't expect you to be in this position forever.
+ You need to be a FAN! If you haven't been to a concert in the past couple of months, this probably isn't the job for you.
+ Know of media outlets and have favorite music blogs.
+ Love social networks.
