Head of Marketing | Creator+
Creator+ was formed in early 2021 by founders who have a long history in online video, tech, and working with talented storytellers around the world to bring their passion projects to life. We are building a new film studio and streaming platform to provide creators an opportunity to make feature length films, and a new immersive experience for their audiences. Creator+ recognizes today's top creators are digital natives who have a keen understanding of how to acquire, retain and convert audiences with little to no paid marketing. What drives the creator's fan base is the creator's gift for storytelling.
The Head of Marketing is a key member of the company's leadership team. They will oversee the strategy and execution of marketing programs for the company, its streaming platform, and each of the films it brings to market. This is a unique opportunity to drive a brand that is innovating multiple aspects of storytelling - the featured talent, the economics, and the audience experience. We are looking for a rare blend of a savvy growth marketer who has direct-to-consumer marketing experience including social media and content marketing, and who excels in a startup & small company environment.
This position reports to the CEO. Our offices are in L.A and SF Bay Area. We are remote-friendly.
Required:

- 10+ years in consumer marketing, including several years in startup environments
- Experience managing strategy, brand and performance marketing across:
- Launching a new company and building a new brand
- Marketing a cultural product: film, shows, streaming content, gaming, or music
- Marketing consumer technology - an app, service or platform
- Experience building and managing high performing teams
Preferred:

Consumer marketing expertise in entertainment, film, and/or gaming, including:
- Driving growth, customer acquisition, and data-driven paid marketing spend
- Executing on company brand and specific title (film/game) campaigns simultaneously
- Management of in-house and external PR and communications
- Overseeing strategy and execution across social media
- Defining user personas, overseeing user research, translating feedback into action
- Driving brand partnerships, sponsorships
- Working directly with talent/creators and their representation to partner on campaigns
- Commitment to impact storytelling
- Desire to empower diverse talent across the organization
Proven success in startup and small company environments:
- Collaborative, positive attitude, prone towards action and decisiveness
- Ability to work with a small, scrappy budget (to start with) and maximize impact
- An embrace of ROI accountability as a mindset and practice
- Willing to roll up sleeves and lead by example
- Start with an initial team of 3-5 that is poised to grow rapidly
- Strong leadership, strategic, and communication skills
- Seasoned organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills
- Impeccable follow-through
- Hiring, managing, and mentoring a large team
- Collaborative instincts to work closely with Talent, Content, Product, and Tech
Passion for Customer and Audience:
- Understanding and experience working with Gen Z and Millennial consumer audience
- Expertise in managing social marketing
- Proven ability to drive audience anticipation and engagement
- Insatiable appetite for customer input and feedback
- Strong quantitative skills and data analysis
International experience:
- Launching / expanding across key growth regions, including cultural, language, and logistical execution and remote/distributed team management
