The Role
CAA seeks a Jr. Video Editor/Videographer for our in-house Creative Services department. In this role, the Jr. Video Editor/Videographer will work independently on a variety of projects including, but not limited to, client sizzle reels, concept videos, website videos, video interstitials, filming videos, casting sessions, and special client projects.
This role will primarily service the editing needs of our TV News representation business and will focus on projects requested by our TV News Agents. In addition, they will support the more senior Video Editors/Videographers with project prep; including research, creating assembly edits, and rough cuts, and setting up video shoot lighting and camera equipment. They will also be a key part of the team handling production of monthly Agency staff meetings, yearly Retreats and special events.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal and external clients via meetings, calls, and emails to go over project briefs and details, and determine content needs and direction
- Research and conceptualize video ideas
- Create video expression of original concepts and ideas
- Show, revise, and finish video edits that satisfy department leaders and clients
- Identify, source and select music for video edits
- Stay up to date on latest creative video and technology trends to improve skills
- Maintain project files and archives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in film, video, editing or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience working in a creative environment such as a post-production house, production company or studio, advertising agency, digital agency or in-house creative department
- Strong reels of videos showcasing dynamic, original editing work
- Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and a working knowledge of various codecs, conversion tools, DaVinci Resolve, sound editing, Adobe Creative Cloud and follow media trends
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey creative concepts and rationale
- Positive, hard-working, ''can-do'' client service attitude
- Ability to multi-task on multiple projects simultaneously
- Desire to be a part of an organization that values teamwork and taking care of each other
