Boutique entertainment public relations firm, Costa Communications, seeks a full-time Jr. Publicist and/or Administrative Assistant with a strong work ethic. An ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with excellent people skills, the ability to write professional press releases and bios, coordinate interviews, organize and attend events, and represent clients with professionalism.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing press releases, pitches, and client bios
- Project coordination for publicity and awards campaigns for multiple clients
- Securing press, coordinating media interviews, and communicating directly with studio executives, agents, clients, and media
- Managing social media accounts
- Providing creative input and contributing to marketing strategies
- Point of contact for accountant, bookkeeper, and office vendors
Requirements include:
- Professional phone etiquette and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Social Media savvy with an understanding of emerging platforms and technology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, Outlook, Excel)
- Previous experience at a public relations firm, agency, or management company preferred
