CoSA VFX is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide outstanding support to our Emmy-Award winning artists and production staff. This opportunity is ideal for a human resources professional seeking an opportunity to support a growing organization with a variety of needs.
Successful CoSA VFX staff are passionate about providing high-levels of organization and demonstrated ability to understand when to act and when to seek advice. Applicants with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude and sense of humor are greatly valued.
Responsibilities:
Provides assistance and information to employees on a variety of human resources subjects and promotes good employee/studio relationships. Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the studio team.
Process timely and accurate payroll
Oversee and support the administration of all HR-related responsibilities, including but not limited to: on-boarding, performance management, benefits, training programs, employee relations, compliance, and terminations
Oversee talent acquisition; implement recruitment strategy, drive employment branding and manage full life cycle recruitment process.
Develop Human Resources strategies aligned with organizational direction/objectives and values.
Maintain CoSA policies and procedures, keeping them up to date and known by staff.
Incorporate team building activities into work schedules to improve employee morale and team bonding
Stay up-to-date with current and changes in HR laws and ethics, ensure compliance with all HR related legal requirements and government regulations
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred but not required
4 or more years' experience as a Human Resources Generalist
Demonstrated knowledge of legal and government regulations affecting Human Resources in both California and Georgia. Professional certification such as PHR or PHR-CA a plus.
Ability to perform tasks independently and accurately with minimal supervision, while seeking input from management whenever appropriate.
Strong verbal and communication skills
Working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). ADP experience preferred but not required
Experience in an entertainment environment preferred, but not required
