Financial Analyst

OVERVIEW:

CPC is a privately held company established in 2014, providing mezzanine and other forms of financing to the entertainment industry. The company has completed financing a number of feature films and has many projects on the horizon. Based on this increased activity, CPC has an immediate opening for a financial analyst to work out of its Hollywood offices.

This is a growth oriented position that will focus on evaluating proposed transactions from a strategic and financial perspective, managing deal flow, and playing a key role in negotiations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyze film and TV financing plans.
- Prepare comparable analysis from industry databases and evaluate likelihood for success.
- Perform due diligence based upon projections received to current state of film markets.
- Work with outside media advisors on capital raises and business plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, talent agencies, foreign theatrical sales agents, banks, and legal counsel.
- Prepare industry analyses, including quantitative models and qualitative research for business development opportunities.
- Work on other projects as directed.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- A minimum of 2 years business experience in financial or business planning, strategy consulting, or investment banking.
- Experience in the media and entertainment industry a must.
- Strong financial analysis abilities and extensive experience in film and TV modeling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage projects while retaining a 'can-do' attitude.
- MBA preferred, with international experience a plus.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
