Purpose:
The Sales Executive is instrumental in managing the transactional base of accounts for Corbis, working in a team environment where service, up-selling and influencing all types of customers, is the key objective. Calls may come in through the router, emails through the email queue, or reaching out to clients who are top priorities for renewal business. You may, at some point, develop a few accounts that are ‘dedicated’ to you. If this happens, you will work with a BDM or Outside Sales rep to help identify significant revenue growth opportunities. Focus in this role will be on your outbound, lead-generating and cold calling skills that will enable you to define new opportunity quicker and engage the BDMs in pre-qualified, first meetings to assess longer term potential.
You will be measured on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to daily outbound call volume, collaboration, taking initiative and contributing to meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
• Make high quality outbound calls to existing customers, must be able to meet daily call requirements, process orders as necessary
• Make outbound calls in support of marketing campaigns and promotions
• Develop and maintain strong positive customer relationships
• Utilize discovery questioning and active selling techniques to learn about needs of key accounts, utilize this information to increase share of wallet and maximize yield from assigned accounts
• Qualify new customers through outbound calls and discovery questioning
• Coordinate with outside sales team, forwarding leads and work together to drive new revenue
• Coordinate with CSR’s to qualify leads and discover new opportunities out of the mass market segment
• Accurately enter data and assure information is accurately coded
• Cross sell and up-sell related services consistently meeting established sales targets
• Provide education to customer on Corbis website features, encouraging buying behavior through the website
Distribution of Responsibilities:
80 % of your time will be spent calling out to customers who have contacted us via email and phone queues, answering phone calls and also up-selling and evangelizing Corbis solutions to customers.
20 % of your time will be spent handling inbound customer service/order processing.
Requirements:
• 1-5 years successful track record selling in a B2B environment
• May have a specialization with either book, magazine or commercial customers, but will maintain availability to all customers and in real-time (available to queue, logged-in to call manager software
• 4 year degree desirable but may be offset by relevant work experience
• Ability to maintain consistent and dependable attendance and punctuality is critical to this role.
• Must be able to multi-task within a large group of customers and be measured by year over year growth of those accounts Inside sales
• Must be willing to work within a variety of ‘shifts’ designed to offer timely service and sales
• Must take initiative to engage Sales Manager in the sales cycle to brainstorm and/or develop the best possible deal (discounts, terms, value)
• Must have an obvious appetite for sales and willingness to meet targets for outbound calls
• Must be able to meet and exceed set revenue targets
• Able to use persuasive communication skills to influence customer buying patterns
