Position: Writing Assistant / Transcriber to A-List Writer/Director/Producer - TEMPORARY but could lead to a full time position in 2025
Overview:
An A-list Writer/Director/Producer is seeking a highly organized, motivated Writing Assistant / Transcriber to join a fast-paced film production office. This role requires adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to confidentiality. The ideal candidate has experience working with high-level creatives or within a studio/agency environment, coupled with a solid background in physical or post-production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transcribe all notes and creative discussions with the Director, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Manage and organize working scripts, ensuring they reflect the latest revisions and notes.
• Perform script coverage and provide detailed notes on all projects in development.
• Support the Director through all phases of production, from development to post-production, adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
Requirements:
• BA degree required.
• Minimum typing speed of 70+ words per minute.
• Familiarity with all phases of film and television production.
• Experience working for a high-level writer/director or in a top studio/agency setting is highly preferred.

• Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly, and anticipate the Director's needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
