Video Editor for Beauty & Science YouTube Channel

We are seeking a skilled and creative video editor to join our team for a beauty and science YouTube channel. As an editor, you will be responsible for producing engaging video content that captures our audience's attention and keeps them coming back for more. You will work closely with our content creators to transform raw footage into polished, high-quality videos that align with our brand and meet our viewers' expectations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in beauty, biology, skincare, science, or product marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging video content for our YouTube channel
Collaborate with content creator to develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts for beauty and science topics
Use video editing software to adjust and enhance video and audio quality, color correction, and apply special effects
Select appropriate music, sound effects, and graphics to enhance the video's impact and reinforce the topic
Ensure that the video content meets our brand guidelines and aligns with our overall content strategy
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing and production, especially in beauty and science fields
Manage multiple video projects and deadlines simultaneously
Source b-roll footage and relevant images from credible sources for beauty, skincare, biology, or science-related topics, and properly cite them in the final video product

Requirements:
Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in the beauty, biology, skincare, science, or product marketing industry
Strong understanding of beauty, skincare, biology, or science-related topics and ability to communicate them effectively through video
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Ability to thrive in a hybrid/home work environment
Understanding of storytelling and narrative structure, and how to apply it to beauty and science topics
Knowledge of video production processes and techniques, especially in beauty and science fields
Ability to create engaging and visually appealing video content using motion graphics and animation
Knowledge of color grading and color correction techniques to enhance the look of video content
Understanding of audio editing and mixing techniques to enhance the sound quality of video content
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take direction from content creators and management
Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive feedback
