We are a full-service multicultural marketing division of a leading entertainment-marketing firm for over 40 years. The division offers a wide range of services, including targeted publicity, promotions, grassroots, creative, and digital/social media. As a multicultural marketing partner for several major motion picture studios and television networks, the division primarily specializes in marketing entertainment properties to Hispanic and African-American audiences across the country via targeted publicity, grassroots, social media and promotional efforts utilizing TV, radio, print, and online outlets.
As a member of the Urban team, the Publicity & Promotions Account Coordinator will provide direct support to the Vice President of the Urban Department, and finite support to the executive and account teams in helping execute campaigns that resonate within the targeted communities. This position will be responsible for interfacing with various agency departments to manage and ensure completion of campaign directives on all assigned accounts, and will serve as a back-up to the Account Director on all fronts, including client communication, campaign development, financing, and final reporting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Handling administrative tasks for the department head, including research, organizing brainstorms and other meetings, compiling expense reports, processing purchase orders and invoices, planning/buying/sending client gifts, etc.
• Establish, maintain and expand partnerships with media outlets, community organizations, influencers and brands
• Developing and/or reviewing/compiling client related communications including meeting agendas, weekly reports, daily breaks/tune-ins, campaign proposals/plans, tailored directives, overviews/recaps, and final reports.
• Developing campaign budgets and tracking progress throughout projects, assuring team activity stays on budget. Conducting of initial billing audit at campaign close, prior to executive review.
• Conducting research for, and assisting in the development of, new business pitches and proposals, with heavy emphasis on writing.
• Assisting and providing staffing support for press junkets, press days, PA tours, screenings, special events, and promotional grassroots events as needed, including night and weekend work.
• Participating in brainstorms sessions across divisions and contributing fresh, creative, and executable ideas.
• Managing and updating internal divisional documents, including contact sheets, project slates, and online tools.
• Managing external reps/vendors and ensuring quality, cost-effective service, with timely reporting and invoicing.
Requirements:
• BA or BS degree
• Understanding of media and interest in developing publicity skills
• Outstanding writing and organizational skills and ability to keep focused when performing a variety of projects simultaneously.
• Extremely detail oriented innately, while working in high paced environment.
• Punctuality and reliability. Accessible during work and after hours via phone/email.
• Able to commit to non-traditional work hours, as some projects will require evenings and weekends activities both in the office & off site.
• Strong knowledge of Keynote/Powerpoint a plus
