Role Description
A client of Aunt Management's is seeking a Lighting Director - Touring to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work on-site at various venues as a member of the crew. Preference given to folks based in the NY-Metro area as they will be a part of the touring crew and the truck load in/out from Edison, NJ. The band is a well-respected and longstanding Pink Floyd tribute that plays mostly theaters and 500-1800 cap rooms. 4-8 shows per month, mostly weekend warriors with 2-3 longer runs throughout the year.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Lighting Director or similar role
Experience in lighting, rigging, electrical, and production design in the context of live events or tours
Experience in lighting and rigging load-ins
Experience in programming and operating the Cognito 2 by Pathway Connect, though also open to someone who would prefer to program and bring their own board other lighting control systems
Proficiency in creating and interpreting lighting plots, input lists, patch lists, and other technical documents
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends
A passion for music and the arts
Bonus: experience driving 26 ft. box trucks
Familiarity and love of Pink Floyd music a huge bonus
