The Talent Manager is an integral part of a small boutique Talent Management agency. This position will oversee multiple existing clients (talent) and as well as scout for new talent in different areas of the entertainment industry. The Talent Manager will search for, select, and submit talent for auditions and castings as well as cultivate professional relationships in various areas of entertainment space (casting directors, producers, etc.) The Talent Manager will mentor, coach and market talent across many different platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create/maintain professional relationships/contacts with casting directors, production companies and key stakeholders/players across the entertainment industry
• Review client and agency contracts, including managing discrepancies and identifying potential issues - work with team for resolution
• Participate in rolling calls, generate, and schedule auditions
• Listen to voice-over (VO) auditions and provide feedback (sound, delivery, ability to follow directions, labeling etc.)
• Select talent/clients for auditions, and send submissions via email, Drop Box, Breakdowns and/or Casting Networks (reading and understanding all casting breakdowns for Agency)
• Tracking incoming/outgoing materials (auditions, call backs, bookings etc.) and maintain impeccable calendar(s)
• Read and respond to all talent emails/calls - provide marketing advice and provide coaching to talent (including but not limited to voice-over equipment and set-up, selection of pictures, helping with reels, etc.)
• Appropriate and timely follow-up with talent when necessary to meet goals and objectives
Required Skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to take initiative, work independently and effectively under pressure and meet all deadlines
• Capable of managing multiple priorities/projects daily
• Relentlessly organized with an excellent eye for all details
• Ability to exercise discretion with a strong ethical and moral compass
• Proficiency in Google Suites and Microsoft Office applications
• Computer literate
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
• Two or more years' experience within the entertainment industry with focus on talent
• Experience working in Casting Networks and Breakdown Express websites
• Familiarity and previous experience with Audacity, editing and recording preferred
