This is a Full Time Job
Position: Talent Coordinator & Executive Assistant to the CEO
Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Los Angeles, CA (South Pasadena / Hybrid)
The Opportunity
We are seeking a resilient, sales-oriented professional to join the firm as a Talent Coordinator. This is a developmental position designed for an individual seeking to build a long-term career in Talent Management who values personal service over volume.
In this dual-function role, you will operate above the level of an assistant. You will provide high-level executive support to the CEO while simultaneously training as a Junior Manager. This position offers a unique vantage point into the industry and is intended to serve as a launchpad for internal advancement.
Career Trajectory: This role is structured with a clear pathway for professional growth. The objective is for the successful candidate to undergo a performance review for promotion to Junior Manager within 12 months. While the position includes a base salary, it is fundamentally a revenue-generating role; significant income growth is expected to be achieved through successful client bookings, active pitching, and commission-based incentives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Coordination & Business Development
Advocacy & Outreach: Serve as a relentless advocate for clients. Conduct proactive pitches to casting directors and producers via phone and email.
Talent Acquisition: Identify and scout prospective talent who fit our specific culture. Preference will be given to candidates entering with an existing, small roster of developing talent who are already working.
Strategic ''Captaincy'': Collaborate with the CEO to help clients-who we view as the Presidents of their own companies-execute their long-term vision. You will help ensure that agents and external partners are aligned with these goals.
Revenue Generation: Actively contribute to company growth targets. The compensation structure includes bonuses and commissions directly tied to your success in booking clients and generating new business.
2. Executive Operations & Administrative Support
Executive Management: Oversee the CEO's complex calendar and communications with high-level precision.
Operational Workflow: Manage digital and physical filing systems, contract administration, and general clerical duties to ensure the company moves with efficiency.
Logistical Support: Provide comprehensive personal and professional support to the CEO, including errand running, appointment management, and travel coordination.
3. Marketing & Educational Program Support
Marketing Collateral: Design and update pitch decks and client presentations that reflect our aesthetic of elegance and resilience.
Educational Division: Provide administrative support to the company's non-entertainment educational mentorship division, including scheduling sessions, taking marketing actions, and preparing invoices.
Qualifications
Required Core Competencies
Sales Resilience: Demonstrated confidence in sales environments. Must be comfortable with cold outreach and persistent in achieving outcomes without sacrificing kindness.
Ethical Ambition: A clear desire to advance into a Talent Manager role, guided by moral transparency. The ideal candidate views this position as a mentorship opportunity in ethical representation.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to think innovatively while maintaining a willingness to learn. Must understand the distinction between ''short-term bookings'' and ''long-term career building.''
Communication Excellence: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar and professional etiquette.
Organizational Mastery: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage data, complex schedules, and spreadsheets effectively. Attention to detail is extremely important to our company. Therefore, we will only review applications that show us you've read the entire post, explain to us why you have a passion specifically for talent management, and include the word 'ataraxia'.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Mac OS, Google Workspace, and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Network: Candidates who possess existing relationships with casting directors or a developing talent roster are highly preferred.
Creative Technical Skills: Proficiency in video editing (Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve), graphic design, or professional deck creation is considered a significant asset.
Industry Knowledge: A working knowledge of the entertainment landscape, including Breakdown Services, Casting Networks, and guild regulations.
To Apply
Please submit a resume and a cover letter detailing your readiness to transition from an administrative role to a coordinator role. Your cover letter should specifically address your approach to revenue generation and client development within your first year, as well as how your personal values align with our philosophy of transparency and respect.
