Job Title: Sync A&R Coordinator
Location: Los Angeles
Job Description: As a Sync A&R Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the synchronization department, supporting the A&R (Artists and Repertoire) team in identifying, acquiring, and managing music assets for placement in visual media projects. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external music partners, and clients to ensure the successful execution of synchronization opportunities.
We are currently looking for part-time support with potential to grow into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Music Discovery and Curation:
• Source and evaluate music tracks, artists, and composers suitable for synchronization opportunities across various media platforms.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of music assets, including metadata, rights information, and licensing details.
2. Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with the A&R team to curate playlists and pitch music selections to clients based on project briefs and creative requirements.
• Coordinate music submissions, clearances, and approvals in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and copyright regulations.
3. Client Communication:
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing personalized music recommendations, facilitating music searches, and addressing inquiries related to synchronization opportunities.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, music supervisors, directors, and other industry professionals to foster collaboration and maximize business opportunities.
4. Administrative Support:
• Assist in drafting and negotiating synchronization licenses, cue sheets, and other legal documents as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of music usage, royalties, and payments, and provide administrative support to ensure efficient workflow processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Media Studies, or a related field desired.
• Previous experience in music supervision, synchronization licensing, or A&R coordination preferred.
• Strong passion for music across various genres and a keen understanding of current trends in the music industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in music software and databases is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
