Who is this for:
This role is ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio in the music space while working closely with an artist to capture dynamic content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You won't just be holding a camera. We empower our interns to think outside the box, flex their creative muscles, and see the direct impact of their work. You will be actively involved in the process, pitching ideas for both the music itself and the marketing rollouts. This is a non-paid internship with flexible hours (minimum 10-15 hrs/week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
Prior music industry experience not required!
Responsibilities
Creative Collaboration: Work directly with the artist to brainstorm and execute short-form vertical content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) based on music releases and trending formats.
Digital Strategy & Marketing: Pitch real, needle-moving ideas for marketing rollouts, visual trends, and overall digital strategy.
Community Management: Take ownership of managing and curating content for dedicated fan pages to organically build the digital community.
On-Set Production: Attend studio sessions, music video sets, and events to capture dynamic, high-quality BTS footage.
Post-Production: Edit content quickly and efficiently using mobile tools (CapCut, etc.) or desktop software (Adobe Premiere Pro).
Qualifications
Camera Skills: You have a sharp eye for visual storytelling and framing.
Proactive & Creatively Driven: You are a self-starter who brings fresh, impactful ideas to the table rather than just waiting for direction.
True Professionalism: You have excellent communication skills, are highly reliable, and always show up on time.
Social Fluency: Deep understanding of engaging, social-first content across TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Location: Must be based in Los Angeles with the ability to attend in-person shoots, brainstorming sessions, and studio days. (Camera equipment is provided).
Salary/Benefits
Compensation: Unpaid / Academic College Credit
Schedule: Flexible hours (10-15 hours/week) tailored around your class and exam schedules.
Hands-On Portfolio Building: Direct credit and asset ownership for high-level content, campaigns, and music video rollouts that you help conceptualize and shoot.
Industry Access & Mentorship: One-on-one, direct collaboration with an established independent artist (75k+ monthly listeners, millions of streams) and signed fashion model. You will gain a front-row seat to independent music distribution, high-production set life, and modern music marketing operations in Los Angeles.
Equipment Provided: Full access to high-end camera equipment and gear for all scheduled shoots.
Future Growth: While this initial term is for college credit, exceptional performance can open doors for future paid contract opportunities, revenue-sharing on driven growth, or a transition into a permanent management role as the project scales.
