Talent Agency is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Staff Accountant and that will be responsible for assisting with the day to day accounting and finance operations of the Company. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting.
Job Responsibilities
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, along with research and follow through of unreconciled items, for assigned bank accounts
• Provide required documentation and maintain appropriate source documents and other related records in support of bank reconciliations
• Prepare and record journal entries and month-end accruals to support timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closes including ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows
• Prepare supporting financial statement schedules such as fixed assets, prepaids, accrued liabilities, etc. as well as ad hoc reporting and variance analysis
• Prepare intercompany transactions including reconciliation of intercompany accounts
• Assist with external audit requests including schedule preparation and addressing auditor questions
• Suggest opportunities for process/system improvements and assist with documentation of business processes and accounting policies
Job Qualifications
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
• Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles, both in theory and practical application
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills required
• Ideal candidate is a self-starter, team player and possesses the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced work environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
• Intacct experience a plus
