A top entertainment public relations agency is looking for interns to join their Los Angeles-based team this Spring semester. As an intern at our firm, this would be the first step in the world of entertainment public relations. One would have a hands-on learning approach to the fundamental skills in this field. An ideal candidate is well organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated, maintains the highest level of confidentiality, have the ability to keep up with a fast-paced office, and remain composed in high-pressure environments. Must be able to multi-task and have a solution-oriented mindset. Please note this internship is part-time and for credit only so applicants must be currently enrolled as a college student in courses for which exposure to public relations services is a relevant educational experience. Proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship. This program would run from January 8, 2020 to April 24, 2020.
As a Public Relations Intern, you will work on projects and tasks such as:
• Creation of media lists
• Media monitoring
• Crafting and editing press kits, quote sheets, client bios
• Drafting press releases and memos
• Research for new media initiatives
• Phone and Microsoft Outlook calendar experience
• Shadow agency staff in public relations work
