Are you interested in storytelling, character-driven narratives, documentary filmmaking, or television development?
An Emmy-nominated producer/editor is seeking a motivated part-time intern to assist with research and development on several film and television projects currently in progress. This role offers direct exposure to the early stages of narrative and documentary development, including research, story development, and preparation of development materials.
Responsibilities
• Assisting with research related to narrative development and documentary subjects
• Supporting early development work on scripted and documentary projects
• Helping organize research materials, reference articles, and story notes
• Assisting with review and organization of archival and newly shot material
• Creating selects and helping prepare material for promotional or development reels
• Participating in discussions related to story structure, character, and project development
• Observing and assisting with the creation of a promo sizzle for a documentary series
• Available 10-20 hours per week
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Interest in film, television, storytelling, or documentary work
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of editing systems such as Resolve or Premiere is a plus but not required
