POSITION: Social Media Specialist/Account Manager - (Remote)
A boutique social media marketing company specializing in music and brands are looking for an Account Manager to join our team!
Overview: We're looking for a social media account manager to manage up to several social media accounts by implementing strategies and tactics that develop audience/followers, engage and retain them, create and manage content with the client and help convert them into active fans with several of our emerging/developing accounts. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience consisting of music and lifestyle fans. All genres including rock, pop, soul, country, Americana/folk, singer-songwriter and other popular music genres. Applicants should have a huge passion for music, excellent written/verbal communication and copy-writing skills.
Job Description:
Build, create and manage our clients' social media profiles and presence, including Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Spotify, Tik-Tok and additional channels that may be deemed relevant for music marketing purposes (Clubhouse, apps, etc)
Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our artists with influencers and online communities
Editorial writing and photo/video post strategies for our clients based on demographics, tour dates, music genre, and personal artist lifestyle tastes. Create engaging marketing and promotions for clients
Spotify marketing (Placement of artists onto Spotify curated playlists)
Dynamic programming and coordination's such as Tik-Tok, Instagram Live, Facebook, YouTube content and IG story development and IGTV
Work alongside our other social media marketing team to create, repurpose and help distribute content that educates and entertains and entices our clients' audience and supports marketing goals
Data analytics - track, measure and analyze all initiatives with status reports to the client
Contribute to artist newsletters and website copy
Participate in planning and creative meetings
Respond to emails from clients in a timely manner
Create, curate and organize all digital assets/content/documents for each project/campaign
Coordination of media ad buys and tracking
Manage and coordinate projects and work with 2-3 social media coordinators and future potential social media interns
Qualifications:
• 1-4 years experience working with multiple music/artist/lifestyle accounts and social media account management preferred
• The successful candidate will possess a natural, excellent command of strong writing skills, an outgoing personality with great telephone skills and interpersonal skills and will be comfortable interacting with clients (Artists/Managers/Record Labels/Publicists/Radio Promoters).
• Must be comfortable working and coordinating with client via email, text, phone, zoom
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to be well organized, work with others and attention to detail with content management
• Must be able to multi-task and handle time-sensitive projects effectively (Time mgmt. essential)
• Extremely enthusiastic and passionate about the digital music/entertainment industry and willing to grow the company's portfolio by assisting in non-entertainment brands and products
• Above average knowledge/experience for managing and optimizing social media marketing best practices and keeping up with the latest digital trends in social media
• Strong copywriting skills needed for social media content creation
• Self-motivated, effective problem solving/research
• Must be creative with ideas about artist campaigns and passionate about social media and eager to learn all the newest updates/technologies involved in digital music marketing
• Must be comfortable working in the music style of genres with the emphasis towards targeting 18-65-year-olds of all backgrounds, tastes, lifestyles
• Able to keep calm and poised under high-stress situations with deadlines
• Must have the drive to grow within a small business atmosphere
• Adobe Illustrator/Premiere/photoshop and audio/video editing skills for social media content positioning
• Proficient in writing content for social media, potential newsletter marketing and minor web updates with artists websites occasionally
• Knowledge of and passion for music and music industry. Knowledge and interest in country/Americana/jazz/rock/pop is preferred
• Must be a self-starter who combines a high level of creativity with strong organizational skills
