SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER - Part Time | Remote
We are an online screenwriting company that through our contests, education platforms, and film funds, connects emerging screenwriting talent with industry professionals, helping launch the careers of the next generation of screenwriters from around the world.
We are looking for a talented Social Media Manager to maintain and grow our current Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn & Facebook social media presence.
You should have proven social media management experience, be highly motivated at connecting with existing and new followers and be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends.
You will manage our company's online presence cohesively and creatively for us to achieve our goals.
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Responsibilities
Manage efficient and effective social media content creation and scheduling according to marketing strategies to align with business goals.
Create, curate, and share engaging content daily (a combination of industry news, and original text, photos, and videos).
Proactively engage with followers and respond to queries and mentions promptly.
Create and strengthen partnerships with other brands and influencers in the fields of screenwriting and filmmaking through cross-promotion and paid marketing.
Monitor and report to senior team leaders and stakeholders on social media performance, insights, and web traffic metrics.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure brand consistency.
Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness and follower growth.
Conduct social media listening, research current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager with a knowledge of current and emerging social audiences.
Ability to design and deliver creative content (text, image, and video) using native and other third-party tools such as Canva.
Experience overseeing social media image assets and designs, including videos, avatars, cover photos, posts, thumbnails, and profile pictures.
Own and build out social media content publishing calendar using native and third-party scheduling tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer.
Excellent ad-copy and copywriting skills.
Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
Ability to work in a remote-based team environment using Google Drive and other online document and content management tools.
Desirable
Analytical and multitasking skills.
Forward-thinking ideas to help us grow.
An interest in and/or experience in the fields of screenwriting and filmmaking.
Good time-management and problem-solving skills
