The Opportunity
We are seeking a social media manager to create content that drives fan engagement and audience growth. This is a cross-functional role where you will work directly with A-list talent, top brands, platform partners and internal stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to see projects through from start to finish, including strategy, execution and analytics reporting. The position will require excellent judgment, a high level of discretion, and travel; experience working closely with A-list clients preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day schedule, social calendar, and posts across all social media channels
o Effectively communicate trade-offs with key stakeholders in relation to calendaring promotional or other partner obligations
o Proactively recommend and propose how to address timely current events and anticipate social holidays
• Be accountable for content approvals
• Work directly with the Social Media Lead and Director of Digital to build a cohesive and compelling voice on social
• Create, curate and capture digital content, including but not limited to photos, videos and graphics
• Coordinate with colleagues, clients, brands and partners on social media and digital marketing needs
• Deliver weekly insights and analytics, and identify strategic opportunities based on that data
• Incorporate competitive research and industry trends into the creative process
Desired Experience:
• Los Angeles-based (and must be able to travel)
• 3-5 years experience creating social-optimized content at an agency, publisher or brand to develop and build a voice and identity
• Expertise in Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, and all relevant social/digital platforms
• Experience establishing, tracking, and communicating KPIs to management with actionable recommendations to grow audience. Must have the foresight to adjust on the fly to any positive or negative trends.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, G Suite, Dropbox, Microsoft software and Apple software
• Client-facing experience (especially with A-list talent) preferred
• Experience in photography, video directing/producing/editing, and/or graphic design a plus

• Excellent and professional communication skills (written and verbal), with high levels of both judgment and discretion
o Outstanding upward management capabilities
o Active listener with exceptional EQ
• Out-of-the-box creative, but also analytics-driven
• Detail-oriented and organized; able to prioritize, multi-task and deliver on tight deadlines
• Adaptable; able to pivot quickly, iterate, and think on your feet
• Passion for entertainment and books, and a desire to tell stories by and for women
