About the role:
Together Live is looking for a driven and curious social media and creative coordinator or manager with a strong understanding of the strategic and visual landscape of social media and digital communications. In this role, you'll help craft digital strategies, produce tailored visual content and execute campaigns across channels that drive engagement and build community. About you:
You are articulate, collaborative, creative and self-directed. You live and breathe social media and have demonstrated experience crafting innovative content for brands that delivers measurable results. You love brainstorming with your colleagues to come up with big ideas and innovative solutions, and are also organized enough to keep multiple ongoing projects on track. You are open to any assignment, big or small, and are happy to roll up your sleeves with the rest of the team to get things done.
What you'll do:
-Take a leading role in the creation of compelling, original and platform-specific content (static and video) for Together Live's social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn) and email campaigns.
-Research and identify story ideas and contributors for our blog, podcast, email newsletter and social platforms.
-Help develop concepts for organic and paid social media.
-Schedule and publish social media posts across all channels.
-Assist with social monitoring, responding to messages and comments across all channels.
-Support the day-to-day management of outside designers, videographers and other content producers to ensure branded and organic content is created on time and within budget.
-Manage the day-to-day editing and approval process for all digital and print assets.
-Coordinate outreach to outside website editor for updates to website.
-Build email campaigns, manage audience segmentation and build automations in Mailchimp.
-Monitor campaigns, report on performance and propose ideas for continued growth and engagement.
-Draft short articles for the Together Live blog.
-Other marketing and operational duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
-Minimum two years' experience working in social media, editorial and/or marketing
-Excellent writing skills and the ability to use engaging and thoughtful copy to tell a story
-Strong time management, critical thinking and communication skills
-Experience creating dynamic visual content for social media and email
-Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Premier
-Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting, with a desire to learn more
-Basic knowledge of best practices for social media platforms and email marketing
-A strong interest in social media trends and culture
-Must be based in NYC
Desired qualifications:
-Grassroots marketing and/or community building experience a plus
-Passion for and knowledge of women's empowerment and personal development is a big plus!
