Overview:
Kids In Big Bodies is a Hollywood Content Creation company working with top tier talent and brands across multiple vertices. Currently we are in the process of developing and producing a 6 part educational curriculum series featuring thought leaders and celebrities, shooting in 2021-2022.
Description:
We are seeking a Writer/Script Supervisor who will be tasked with developing, writing, and overseeing script creation and supervision. This position will report directly to our EP and Lead Writer. They will also work closely with our curriculum team to effectively create engaging scripts for our thought leaders that also hit our SEL curriculum components.
Responsibilities:
• Take detailed and accurate production meeting notes
• Take Initiative and communicate clearly and concisely with Lead Writers and other departments
• Attend talent and production meetings and participate in ideation and writing of treatments and scripts
• Implements and maintains creative vision and ''look and feel'' of scripts from inception to release
• Participates in ideation sessions and creative pitches with writers and curriculum team
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned/needed
Requirements:
• Position requires a seasoned writer/producer with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in production writing / script supervision. Ideal if candidate has experience in documentary, educational, and/or digital content production.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, leadership skills, and strong analytical skills.
• Must be able to distill broad creative concepts into an abbreviated and effective promotional approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)
• Time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Exhibits strategic thinking skills and good judgment.
• Superior writing and production skills.
• BA/BS degree in Film/TV/Drama, Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field of study, is preferred, but not necessary.
