Public Relations Manager

Major talent agency with offices in Los Angeles & New York is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Public Relations Manager. Must be a confident communicator and presenter.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Service the day-to-day needs of the agents across all departments and their clients who do not have personal publicity: this will include writing and placing press releases and news in the entertainment trades (or other relevant outlet) when the agents sign new clients, when their clients book notable jobs, and other departmental news
• Work alongside and collaborate with the outside PR agency, who is responsible for overall brand messaging and strategy
• Create and maintain editorial calendars for potential placement in entertainment outlets, the entertainment trades, relevant special issues, important industry lists, as well as conferences, panels, and events.
• Pitching the agents to appear on panels at relevant conferences and events
• Stay in communication with our head of social media to ensure she is aware of any press that comes out or any other relevant information we would want on social media
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Provide on-site support at publicity events for the agents and their clients at events as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years of entertainment PR agency experience
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Relationships and experience working with the entertainment trades
• Self-starter, multi-tasker, and innovative thinker with an ability to offer creative solutions to problems
• Ability to keep up with a fast-paced office, and the needs of each department
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently and effectively
• Proven contacts in entertainment media
