I am the Writer-Director and Co-Producer of a neo-noir crime drama feature. I'm in the early packaging stages and looking for a producing partner. The feature is based on a short film that I made a few years ago. Below is a project overview and the requirements/qualifications for the producing position. If you're interested, please email Kevin for further details.
Project Overview
- Budget: $500-$700K.
- Genre: Neo-Noir Crime Drama
- Financing is not in place. Have a group of investors who have expressed strong interest in the feature. I will be meeting socially with the investors sometime in August or September. That's one lead, but also considering other options.
- Lead actor attached with some solid film and television credits, including two supporting roles in major A-list features, and a modest following in Spanish-language markets.
- Also have on board: Director of Photography, Production Sound Mixer, and Associate Producer.
- Next step is to package more - producers, casting director, cast, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications
- A young, LA-based producer in 20s to early 30s, with a genuine passion for cinema, who's hungry to advance in the industry and is ready and willing to put in the hard work to help package this project.
- Strong character. Honest, humble, and trustworthy. Flexible and handles pressure with grace and good humor. Credits and experience are great, but if you lack these intangibles there can be no foundation for an honest, fruitful partnership.
- A few features under belt or comparable experience in other media (i.e. commercials, television, new media) is preferred.
- Strong producing experience and/or capability in all stages- packaging, production, distribution, marketing, etc.
- Connections with talent agents/managers are preferred.
