This is a Full Time Job
Remote with occasional travel to NY and various locations (film festivals, set, etc.)
Summary of the Company and Position:
• Well known independent film producer working on the release of a highly anticipated Cannes film and launching a new distribution company that will partner with an A-list distributor.
• The producer develops about four films per year with A-List actors and develops and produces unscripted series and music videos.
• This opportunity provides an excellent learning experience for an individual with a strong interest in financing, developing, and producing entertainment content.
• Previous assistants have moved up in the company in the development, production, and operations departments. We strive to have long term employees that reach their goals and life purpose.
• Assistant will have a meaningful role in the release of an award-contending film from a premiere auteur director and support the Producer with marketing efforts, event planning and the building of a new production and distribution company
Day to Day Responsibilities Include:
• Calendar management
• Coordinate and attend meetings/calls with the Producer as well as provide detailed notes
• Handle travel arrangements as well as accompany the Producer for travel, as needed
• Anticipate the needs of the Producer, confidently multitask and prioritize under pressure
• Assist with various projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion
• Miscellaneous tasks such as research, event coordination, marketing support, etc.
• Ad hoc executive and personal support
Job Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in an assistant or administrative role
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to confidently and professionally interact with various executives, high-level personnel, agents, and managers
• Highly motivated, organized, and takes initiative
• Willingness / ability to travel as needed
Typical Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 9a-6p
