About the Role
A leading entertainment company seeks a Post-Production Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of post-production personnel, workflow, and coordination with our departments on our technical footprint for in-house projects.
This role will work across our linear, digital, sales and marketing teams and will manage all media storage and archival processes in conjunction with our technology team. This role requires to be located in LA-County based who will work in a hybrid capacity (remote and on-site as needed).
What you will do
- Work with all stakeholders and team members to create new or improve current interdepartmental workflows and processes.
- Manage daily linear programming and digital content deliveries to ensure outputs are correct and on-schedule.
- Manage the hiring process for all Editors across the company's locations.
- Manage and oversee all post staff across all projects, ensure all new hires are onboarded to follow the systems and protocols we have in place, and are set up for success.
- Provide mentorship and training for editors
- Management and guidelines for freelance editors, ensuring they have access to the proper equipment, drives, websites, resources and plugins to perform their duties
- Manage media storage (Isis, EVO) server processes, accounts and space usage.
- Maintain organizational and naming guidelines.
- Work with the technology team to ensure archiving of server, infrastructure needs are met, and remote workflow systems are operational.
- Maintain master content assets and quick access protocols and practices.
- Manage all video based projects on servers, Cloud-based shared storage and FrameIO.
- Responsible for day-to-day quality control of all finished assets.
- Process / manage all caption and transcription services.
Who you are
• 5+ Years in Post-Production with multi-site management experience of more than 15 editors
• 3+ Years experience as a hands-on Editor in Digital or Linear content
• Understanding of best practices / applications for content sharing and storage.
• Experienced team leader
• Very organized and detail-oriented
• Expert-level mastery of Premiere Pro and Avid software and workflows.
• Well-developed multi-platform communication tools including messaging, video and other suite packages
