A microdrama app is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Specialist - to start ASAP - to review episodic vertical content prior to final delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring every episode meets our creative, editorial, and technical standards.
Post-production experience is preferred but not required. Experience working with vertical (9×19) content is a plus.
Responsibilities
Perform quality control reviews prior to final delivery.
Track and organize QC notes using a digital review platform (e.g., Frame.io).
Identify and document:
Grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
Text placement and fly-zone compliance
Subtitle and caption issues
Graphics (GFX) errors
Jump frames and editorial inconsistencies
Clipped dialogue, audio defects, and music transition issues
Missing, incorrect, or improperly timed assets
Timing, continuity, and formatting issues
Verify that each chapter begins and ends cleanly, with proper audio fades, graphics timing, and seamless transitions.
Ensure all text, subtitles, graphics, and other visual elements remain within approved vertical safe (fly) zones.
Clearly communicate QC notes to editors, assistant editors, and the post-production team.
Qualifications
Exceptional attention to detail.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times.
Flexible availability; assignments may range from a few hours to a full day depending on production needs.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience with Frame.io or a similar review platform is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Drive.
Previous experience in post-production, quality control, or digital media is preferred, but not required.
Familiarity with vertical (9×19) content workflows is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience reviewing content for mobile-first platforms.
Basic understanding of editorial and post-production workflows.
Ability to provide clear, organized, and actionable QC notes.
