Post Production Manager
Reports to:
Head of Production
Responsibilities:
'' Manage Post Department which includes both Editorial and VFX teams.
'' Ability to handle a fast-paced environment supervising several projects in various points of production (from production through delivery).
'' Create and manage Post Schedule for multiple productions and define best practices for delivery workflow.
'' Schedule Producer/ Director Notes, Sound Mix and QC sessions.
'' Manage domestic and international deliverable for various platforms (broadcast, online, VOD).
'' Mentor and guide the artists to build a strong, cohesive team.
'' Anticipate team challenges; work with production to avoid and resolve such challenges.
'' Staff / set up a show - color pipeline, representations, stereo (if appropriate).
'' Ensure deliverables are to the highest creative and technical standards.
'' Present work clearly in Dailies and walk-throughs, take direction and respond to the VFX supervisor appropriately and in a timely fashion.
'' Evaluate artists' skills and identify the areas in which they need to improve; exercise close attention to detail by being proactive with team members & production to ensure smooth delivery of work.
'' Provide visually creative solutions to Directors and the VFX Supervisor.
Requirements:
'' Animation experience a big plus.
'' College degree preferred.
'' Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google calendar, and Google Mail, and at least one working experience with a production shot / asset tracking system.
'' A solid understanding and background in TV Episodic Post Production workflow.
'' Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
'' Attention to Detail is required, as well as proven planning and problem-solving abilities.
'' The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and report to multiple project managers.
'' Strong ability to identify clear priorities and meet department goals.
'' Willing and able to work overtime as needed.
'' Strong client interaction skills and excellent customer service experience with internal and external clients.
'' Track artist /episode progress in shotgun (database program).
'' Report Editorial & VFX progress to production management.
