Post Production Digital Operator

This is a Full Time Job

The Post Production Digital Operator is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the post-production operation. Organized, professional and customer-service focused, this person is flexible, responsive, and team-oriented member who is hands-on, a good problem solver, and exhibits a proactive and transparent style.

Experience:
-5+ years experience with digital media assets
-2+ years of experience in file based Post Production

Duties:
Candidate should possess demonstrable proficiency with hybrid tape/digital Post Production workflows from ingest to delivery. Must possess a sharp attention to detail and ability to keep assets organized on NAS/SAN in a fast-moving editorial environment which supports multiple productions. Daily duties will include routing and patching video signals to digitize clips and assets from tape or optical disc, file-ingest and transcoding of media in preparation for offline editorial, as well as the export and mastering of final cuts for promos, conform and delivery. Self-starters with the ability to problem solve and think on their feet are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
-Experience with modern media formats, encoding and transcoding
-Proficiency with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Media Encoder
-Experience with digital transfer tools like Aspera, Signiant and others
-Knowledge of VTRs including XDCAM decks and media
-An understanding of video routing and patching
-Proven ability to communicate with all departments to meet required deadlines
-Effective interpersonal skills; good judgment and ability to interact with different levels of management and teams
-General Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency
