We are looking for a motivated, fun, and detail-oriented candidate to join our team as a Post Production Department Coordinator. This is a long-term staff position at a company focusing on documentary and media marketing projects.
Ideal candidate MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE with: scheduling and calendar workflows; general post production workflows; general video and audio media formats; word and excel sheet programs. Candidate should be a team player who can function independently, and have the ability to multitask and maintain clear organization and communication with various teams. Candidates should have experience as a Post Coordinator.
Main Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining overall post production schedules and reconciling project bookings.
• Arranging equipment rentals with bay and equipment vendors.
• Overseeing transcription and dubbing requests.
• Help maintain and set order of AE priorities. Facilitate AE requests during offline editorial including string-outs, pulls, notes, EDLs, shot logs, cut exports etc.
• Facilitate finishing preps for online including quicktime references, and AAFs for audio mix, online prep, uprezing, overcutting, etc.
• Overseeing and/or create media viewing accounts and maintain project list; facilitate the posting of cuts to client-specific portals for internal and client review and/or creation of clickable links
• Coordinating with the Design department to facilitate creation, hand off and ingest of graphic deliverables
• Coordinating with Post Production Supervisors and Vault on creation and shipment of final delivery media files and paperwork.
• Generating music cue sheets.
• Regular outreach to freelance contacts.
• Assisting department managers with hiring, including job posting, initial application review, and scheduling of interviews.
• Working with Post Production Supervisors to accomplish project requirements as they arise.
• Overseeing physical access to & operations of post production spaces.
This position is ideal for a person with modern post production experience, who is interested in pursuing a post production management or creative producer job track. Hiree may have the opportunity to transition into more independent post production supervision roles depending on quality of work and future project schedules.
