We're seeking a passionate and driven Post Coordinator to join our busy Post Production team. This position performs various administrative activities and is responsible for assuring effective communication and documentation between freelance staff and Post Operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in general office paperwork, invoices and organization.
Answer general questions for staff and freelancers.
Assist the Vault with tracking, ingesting and creating media backups.
Verifies invoices and timecards submitted for payment against POs/deals and facilitates related approvals, tracking/maintaining records of related transactions and correspondence.
Collaborate with Post Operations in gathering up-to-date information from shows.
Work closely with Post Management to facilitate development requests and associated editorial needs.
Collaborate with freelance staff on ensuring clear expectations, company processes and documentation alignment.
Helps track and traffic elements between productions, post-facilities and the Studio - facilitates the delivery for all project-related elements.
Responsible for coordinating with Deliverables Coordinator for final review of deliverables.
Maintain the post production database of staff and resources.
Assist IT with Post Production based projects and implementation.
Education and Work Experience:
2+ years of Post Production experience
Passion for non-fiction programming
Core Competencies:
Working knowledge of post production/understanding of technical terms and processes.
Understanding of Media workflows and post processes.
Ability to communicate effectively & tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.
Excellent organizational & follow-through skills.
Ability to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
Able to solve problems quickly, with good judgement.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Computer skills including, but not limited to Google suite, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Familiarly with collaboration tools like Slack, Teams, Airtable, FrameIO.
Self starter and loves to solve puzzles.
Desire to continue a career in Post Production.
Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
Reliable transportation, valid drivers licence and proof of insurance.
Must have knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation.
Basic familiarity with Avid, Premiere and file management software.
Requirements:
Available to work outside of normal office hours, weekends and holidays when necessary.
