Post Production Coordinator
This is slightly above an entry-level position for someone looking to build a career in television post-production. It is a trainee position for the role of assistant editor. A Post production Coordinator serves in a support role for editors, producers and assistant editors. They do some of the tasks associated with setting up the initial edit project such as project creation, ingesting shoot footage, transcoding footage and drive management. They perform music and stock footage searches, log footage and post files for approval. They prepare for uploading and downloading files through ftp and client portals.
They assist the production department by creating microsites for casting, location scouting and costume and prop approvals. They assist producers in functions such as creating calendars and microsites as well as booking VO sessions and doing research. They also maintain and update the company websites.
Need to be Mac proficient and have a basic knowledge of some of the software involved in post including but not limited to Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere and DiVinci Resolve.
Minimum one year in a post production environment or a recent college degree with an emphasis on post production.
