An existing sports podcast is looking for an experienced Podcast Producer. In this role, the Producer will oversee and manage everything from ad sales to post production and everything in between.
Ultimately, we're looking for someone to act as the Quarterback of this podcast. This position will work behind the scenes with talent, guests, sponsors, and production staff throughout the entire production process.
Los Angeles based candidates are preferred, but remote applications will be accepted.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage production schedule.
- Work closely with Talent Booker to coordinate guests.
- Oversee the production staff and creative team.
- Manage scheduling of production and release.
- Coordinate production of both the audio and video components of the show.
- Take ownership over social media and weekly episode promotion.
- Manage podcast ad sales.
- Oversee budget and allocation of funding.
- Manage engineers and editors in the post production process.
- Help set the tone for a well oiled and organized podcast.
Qualifications:
- Producing experience required.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
- Experience working in audio, television, journalism or a related field.
- Familiarity with the world of professional sports.
- Deep knowledge of optimizing social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
- Deep knowledge of the podcast and entertainment industries.
- Working knowledge of recording tech (Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, etc.)
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Google Drive, Apple Products, and project management tools.
- Strong prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.?
