Entrepreneur and lawyer in the entertainment business is looking for a full-time assistant. This job is perfect for someone who wants to learn more about the music business, the TV/Film industry, business in general, as well as what it is like to be an entertainment lawyer and personal manager for talent.

The owner of the firm is involved in many ventures, many involve well known personalities and celebrities, some who are active on social media. Additionally, the owner of the business has some rental properties that you would be involved in.

The aspect of the job is quite diverse varying from interfacing with artists, evaluating music and marketing campaigns to administrational tasks such as billing, scheduling flights and trips and assisting with any matters that may arise. There are also some personal matters that may arise such as ordering gifts and supplies, checking status of vendors, billing, etc. Your job as the owner's right hand person is to help in every aspect of his life.

In addition to many of his legal clients, this attorney manages several artists and consults companies on a worldwide basis. As his right hand person, you will be involved in substantive and administrative tasks. Substantive tasks include drafting producer agreements, recording agreements, management agreements, preparation of marketing plans, song analysis, etc. The tasks include a great deal of written communication and you will learn the intricate parts of many different contracts within the industry. Administration tasks include handling phones, billing operations, and office management, drafting and filing documents, coordinating calls and meetings, organizing databases, etc.

The ideal applicant will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be cool under pressure, be detail-oriented, be organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have great presentation skills, and have the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. We are looking for an individual who may be interested in eventually going to law school or moving up the ladder in entertainment-related industries. This position is a great educational opportunity as well. You will be given tasks and responsibilities that include interacting with key executives, clients, and industry professionals on a first-name basis. This type of exposure is key to anyone pursuing a career in entertainment and/or law.
Given the current Covid-19 situation, our business is working remotely, however we are looking for someone who is willing to meet with the owner from time to time (located in Great Barrington, MA). Details will be provided in the preliminary phone interview. We are looking for someone who can start soon.
