Overview
A principal is seeking an energetic and on-their-feet Personal Assistant to help manage daily tasks, household operations, and personal scheduling. The ideal candidate is active, tech-savvy, great with children and small dogs, and comfortable driving in Los Angeles. A passion for cinema and a strong working knowledge of TV and film are essential, as the principal works in the entertainment industry. This role may involve extended travel for film projects and support on-set. A positive, hands-on, can-do attitude is key. It is a fun and dynamic environment where each day is different.
Schedule:
30-40 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including some occasional evenings and weekends. Occasional travel with the principal, including long-term travel to film sets, will be compensated accordingly.
Responsibilities:
Personal Assistance & Scheduling
Maintain and manage the principal's calendar, ensuring timely reminders for all appointments and daily commitments
Book and coordinate appointments, meetings, and reservations
Assist with packing and provide travel logistics support
Hospitality & Errands
Liaise with the interior designer on household projects and updates
Order meals and provide light food preparation (e.g., reheating and serving pre-prepared items)
Handle grocery shopping and ensure the kitchen and fridge are fully stocked
Source and maintain fresh florals throughout the home
Assist with basic tech troubleshooting and coordination
Support light social media management tasks as needed
Coordinate with the full-time nanny and assist with childcare logistics, including sourcing backup childcare when necessary
Manage household purchasing, including placing orders and processing returns
Household & Pet Care
Oversee the care and occasional walking of small dogs, in coordination with the daily dog walker
Manage all veterinary and grooming appointments, and ensure medications are maintained and administered as needed
Film & Entertainment Support
Must have a genuine passion for cinema and a solid understanding of the TV and film industry
Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods to support the principal on domestic and international film sets
Comfortable running lines and helping the principal rehearse scripts
Liaise professionally with agents, managers, and publicists as needed
Assist with reviewing, organizing, and printing scripts and related documents
Provide administrative support for production needs (e.g., coordinating meetings, handling call sheets, or sourcing local services on location)
Maintain discretion and professionalism while working around high-profile industry contacts
Experience:
Personal assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
Experience in pet and childcare is a plus.
Proficiency in Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar.
Neat handwriting and the ability to maintain a professional and presentable appearance.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Job Type:
Full-time - Expected 30-40 hours per week
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
