Publicity Intern - Entertainment & Lifestyle (paid)
We are a boutique public relations firm specializing in film, entertainment, talent and lifestyle seeking a highly motivated star intern to join our small team as a publicity intern and receive stellar training as they start out their career in PR!
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a passion for PR, keen eye for detail, fantastic research skills and media intuition. They will possess the ability to think on their feet and multitask across several projects in a fast-paced environment. They will be a team player with enthusiasm to passionately contribute to every project and support our team to the best of their ability. The role is ideally suited to someone based in Los Angeles or New York, with the view to assisting with national media events, but we are open to creating an entirely remote position for the right candidate.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Drafting and managing press materials
Assisting with media pitching
Organizing and handling incoming press requests
Coordinating meetings, interviews, travel and schedules
Coordinating media events, screenings, photos shoots, festivals and premieres
Managing reports and databases
Contributing to team brainstorms and attend client meetings
Staying up to date on the latest trends and social media trends in a dynamic media environment (new websites, publications, tv shows, podcasts)
Service press clippings
Requirements:
Some experience working in a similar role, related degree or stellar cover letter
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google docs (basic photoshop / app design skills a major +!)
Highly organized with excellent time management skills, written and verbal communication skills, networking and research skills
Be a team player, collaboration is essential
Own a working laptop and cell phone. Mac preferred.
Detail oriented and self sufficient
Proactive and able to handle multitask across multiple projects
Strong problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize with a high sense of urgency
Professional, confident and mature demeanor
Up to date on the latest media and social media trends
Be responsive, friendly, punctual and reliable
Start Date: September 20th, 2021 End Date: March 20th, 2022
This is a full-time paid internship beginning September 20th for 6-12 months with flexibility on dates and duration for the right candidate.
