Busy Entertainment Law office in need of intern to handle contract administration/assistant. Come work in a very fun, faced pace office! Interface with client and learn at the same time! We are focused on transactional law including copyright filings/intellectual property, production legal for film and TV, finance and talent representation.
Duties include:
- Deal flow tracking
- Contract signature page administration
- Follow up with clients on contract progress
- Updating databases
- Combining contracts for client files
- Copyright filings
- Keeping deadlines
- Office administration (appointments, managing interns, time cards)
- Email tracking
Must have experience in contract execution, administration, copyright office filings (form PA's, document cover sheets, script protection), dependable and can work with little guidance, ability to take initiative, strict adherence to work schedule and timeliness. Must be in office at least 3 days per week (anytime between 10a and 6pm).
Course requirements-
1. Entertainment Law
2. Copyright law
3. Contracts
4. Internship or prior experience working in a law firm or for an entertainment company.
5. Research and Lexus/Nexus access.
