Offline Video Editor - Swing/Night Shift

This is a Part Time Job

We're looking for a super star part-time / in-office Creative Offline Editor to add to our swing-shift / night-shift roster for upcoming projects.

This individual would ideally start work around 3pm-4pm (or later) to overlap with our day-time assistant editors / creative producer (who leave the office around 6/7pm), and continue into the evening editing their cuts solo, so their cuts can be reviewed by the creative producer the next morning.

Ideal candidates must have experience editing behind-the-scenes featurettes and have samples of their work to share.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creatively offline edit various film marketing pieces from bts featurettes to social media spots, using interview soundbites as the foundation to tell a story and forge a narrative. Must be comfortable cutting down soundbites to create ''franken-bites'' to get ideas across quickly.
• Sift through broll string-outs and a lot of footage to find the perfect moments / edit video and gfx to music and styles that follow today's video trends.
• Perform basic sound mixing & smoothing.
• Can handle technical troubleshooting with Premiere Pro and Media issues.
• Ability to create simple motion gfx is a plus.
• Color Grading skills are a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder
• Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop
• Must be able to work in-office. (not remote)
• Must be comfortable working solo and with a creative producer.
• Ability to take constructive criticism and address client driven notes.
• A solid understanding of video codecs & social media formats.
• Maintain discretion with confidential material.
• Smart communication, consistent organization & time management.

SAMPLES
Please include links to work samples that you've edited and share what your part in the project was if it extended past editing (including scripting, gfx, mixing etc.) Ideally looking for samples that lean toward BTS featurettes, social media and interview driven content.
