Motion Graphics Artist

This is a Freelance Job

We are looking for a resourceful, creative, highly collaborative motion graphics artist to animate (4) 90-second videos. Your motion graphics will visualize autobiographical voice recordings made by current and former foster care children. The aesthetic will utilize treated still images in moving, 2d collage. Cut out style graphics, kinetic typography, minimalism, bold colors.

In conversation with the producing team and incorporating regular rounds of feedback, you'll ideate off the recordings and transcriptions, develop looks that best support and elevate the subjects' stories, and bring these looks to life with motion.

This is a project-based freelance position. This will be a full time gig starting ASAP and running during the month of October. Duration: 4 - 5 weeks with a potential 6th week as a hold. Rate depending on experience.

You Will

Attend creative meetings (remotely) and work closely with the producer and executive producer to ideate on and develop possible looks for the project.
Create storyboards or a visual outline for each of the (4) videos for approval by the producing team.
Carry your vision for the videos end to end, from rough sketches to polished finals, incorporating feedback at each stage.
Adhere to a the various deadlines and deliverables in our tight production schedule.

You Have

Mastery of motion graphics techniques
Knowledge of digital workflows
A reel or portfolio that shows off your bright, innovative style
A flare for both hand-drawn and cut-out animation techniques is a plus
Experience working on film, TV and commercial projects is a plus, but not necessary.
