Position Available: Musical Theatre Division Manager
We are a reputable talent management company with a solid 25-year presence on both coasts. Currently, we are seeking an experienced individual, preferably with a background in Broadway and/or Musical Theatre, to lead and develop our existing Musical Theatre Division. The successful candidate will work with our current musical theatre clients while also actively scouting for potential talent to add to our roster.
This is a commission-based position with a generous 50/50 split. The level of success achieved will be directly proportional to the dedication and effort invested. Therefore, if you are someone who is motivated by the opportunity to determine your own earnings, this position may be a perfect fit for you. Please note that salary negotiation is not an option as we maintain a consistent 50/50 split arrangement.
Responsibilities:
• Curate a roster of clients with the approval of the owner
• Schedule auditions and pitch clients for various roles in Broadway, Regional, Tours, Live Events, and Cruise Ships
• Familiarity with Trello Boards is desirable; training can be provided if necessary
• Generate leads for new talent acquisition
• Maintain consistent communication with clients
• Provide assistance to clients with headshots and review audition tapes before casting submissions
Required qualifications:
• Minimum two years of experience as an agent, manager, or assistant at a talent agency or talent management company, OR possess relevant Broadway or musical theatre experience
• Theatrical performers need not apply; we seek individuals committed to a long-term career in talent management
• Strong connections within the Broadway and Equity Theaters community in the US and abroad
• In-depth knowledge of the nuances of the musical theatre industry
The ideal candidate will be proactive, attending showcases, making connections with exceptional performers, and bringing a roster of clients. This is a remote position that requires thinking outside the box, demonstrating loyalty and commitment, and giving full commitment to our company without any other concurrent job obligations. Additionally, the ability to create new industry connections and actively pitch clients is highly valued.
Again-- Please note that this position does not offer a salary. Instead, managers will receive a 50/50 commission split. The payoff will be directly proportional to the effort and dedication invested in the role.
