Festival production company based in Ventura County seeking Festival Logistics Coordinator...
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Festival Logistics Coordinator will work with the Festival Logistics Manager to oversee the coordination of all supplies, services, equipment, and generate logistics information to ensure the successful execution of all festivals from beginning to end. This position will potentially oversee Day Workers, seasonal drivers and logistics assistants. This is a physical labor position in addition to some office work.
Responsibilities:
Shall include but not be limited to:
-Assist the Festival Logistics Manager as needed including developing a basic schedule of logistical activities for the Festival.
-Cost items and maintain budget lines in order to rent or purchase festival related needs.
-Ensure the Festivals receive all rental equipment, signage and other supplies as required; maintaining inventory at all times and ensuring accurate returns.
-Arrange and oversee all load-in/load-out times of suppliers i.e., tents, toilets, garbage, exhibitors, concessionaires, etc. and service accordingly.
-Request and supervise logistics volunteers and day workers as required.
-Organize and supervise drivers and logistics assistants.
-Communicate with and be on site at all venues
-Collect relevant information from other Festival departments and communicate to the Logistics team.
-Support other Festival teams with logistical elements, signage and all technical equipment.
-Manage the pre-planning and execution of onsite set-up and teardown including street closures.
-Supervise the return of all vehicles, venue and departmental supplies, signage, and barricades.
-Such other duties, responsibilities and functions as directed by the CEO from time-to-time relating to the planning, implementation, delivery, execution and reporting/follow-up required for a successful Festival.
-Required: Able to move and lift items that weigh 50-75 lbs chest high
-Other duties as assigned.
-Festivals take place in California from San Francisco to San Diego.
-Job hours are NOT 9am-5pm Monday thru Friday.
-Position starting beginning of April and going through October (with 1 event in December).
-Part time/Full Time Seasonal.
-This is NOT an office job.
Position Requirements:
Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-Experience in event or production industry
-Experience managing staff
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
-Strong project management skills, with the ability to maintain multiple projects simultaneously.
-Working knowledge of Excel, Gmail, Google Drive and Calendar.
-Ability to lead by example and act with integrity.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
-Strong customer service skills.
-A professional attitude and demeanor (tact, sensitivity, and diplomacy).
-Detail oriented, able to audit work to avoid mistakes, and perform tasks accurately.
-Ability to think and act quickly under pressure.
-Ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
-Valid driver's license and successful completion of a DMV background check.
