- Strong scheduling and time-management abilities. Able to keep a full crew on-task and on-time, and to roll with the punches. Extremely effective problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Know how to effectively run a live production and set. Coordinate a team of ADs and PAs on a widespread scale in a fast-paced and chaotic setting. Ability to delegate effectively and to hire qualified production staff.
- Pre-production skills including script breakdowns, shooting schedules, logistics, plans-of-attack, spearheading communications between departments, leading meetings, and distributing information to departments and team members.
- Someone with a firm, kind, polite, respectful, and calm manner who can encourage and lead a large number of people to achieve a successful production.
- Ability to handle cast with professionalism, meeting talent needs while balancing the overall needs of the production.
- Strong organizational and paperwork skills. Familiarity with crew startwork, cast contracts & accounting paperwork, I9s, SAG/Taft-Hartly forms, minor talent paperwork (including minor I9s, Coogen forms, etc.), Exhibit G, Call Sheets, Production Reports, and more. Familiarity with guidelines involving the employment of minors.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn the LIVE element of production. Meet the needs of live stage management, including ensuring proper technical rehearsals, resources, and processes.
- Serve as an overall point person for the entire production, from pre-production through wrap. Understand departmental hierarchies and responsibilities, and be able to take on a ''make it happen'' approach in an extremely time-sensitive setting.
- Ability to utilize resources, including the people at production's disposal. No egos here.
- Work with Director and Production Team in scheduling and running rehearsals
- Extreme multitasking abilities. Ability to pay attention to walkie communication even when the room is loud and crazy. This person should ALWAYS be listening to what's happening in every avenue of communication being utilized.
